AquaGuard Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 6, 2026

AquaGuard ("the app") is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Data stored on your device

Your aquariums, water readings, fish profiles, photos, feeding logs and chat history are stored locally on your device. We do not have a server that stores this data, we do not require an account, and we cannot see your tanks.

AI photo check & chat

AI features are off until you give permission. When you use the optional AI photo check or "Ask AquaGuard," the image or message you choose, together with non-identifying tank context such as water values and species, is sent over a secure connection to our processing service and a third-party AI model provider solely to generate a response.

These requests are restricted to zero-data-retention model endpoints. Prompt and image content is processed transiently, is not retained by our service or the selected model provider, is not linked to your identity, and is not used for advertising, tracking, or model training.

Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect personal information, contacts, location, analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking.

Children

AquaGuard is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Not veterinary advice

Information and AI suggestions in AquaGuard are for general guidance only and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified aquatic veterinarian.
